Maintenance Worker - Building

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker - Building to join our team at Hill Top Motel & Restaurant. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our building and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our guests and staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and waxing floors, as well as operating industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris and dirt.
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers, and wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings.
  • Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
  • Supervise other workers and ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, and perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair.
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens, and work with minimal supervision.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle repetitive tasks.
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Dependability, flexibility, initiative, judgement, and reliability.
