Director, Corporate Financial Planning

At Odgers Berndtson, we are seeking a seasoned financial professional to join our team as a Director, Corporate Financial Planning. This is a high-impact role that will play a pivotal part in shaping the financial future of a leading energy provider.

About the Role

The Director, Business Planning and Reporting will support the Vice President, Business Planning and Reporting in overseeing financial expenditures, preparing consolidated budgets, and conducting comprehensive economic studies. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence OPG's strategic initiatives and investment proposals, providing critical financial analysis and insights to the CFO and President.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement corporate financial initiatives to drive continuous improvement in planning processes
  • Lead the development of integrated corporate-wide business planning and performance management processes
  • Provide strategic financial insights to senior executives and possess a keen ability to benchmark and assess business performance
  • Collaborate across organizational units and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and efficient planning, performance reporting, and strategic decision-making
Requirements

We are looking for a proactive leader and agent of change who is adept at structuring integrated business planning and performance management processes that align with corporate strategies. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration (or a related field) and professional certification such as CPA, CA, or Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
