Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategy Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will support the Director of Strategy & Value Creation, contributing to the development and execution of strategic initiatives. This role offers a unique opportunity to bridge strategy, operations, and finance, and to make a meaningful impact in the Inuvialuit region.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct thorough market analysis to identify ideal areas for investment opportunities.
  2. Develop and execute strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with IRC's goals and Inuvialuit interests.
  3. Monitor operational and financial performance of portfolio companies.
  4. Prepare and present analytical reports and recommendations to senior management.
  5. Build comprehensive financial models and conduct thorough financial analysis.
  6. Support M&A activities, including deal sourcing, due diligence, and integration.
  7. Integrate risk management to support decision making.
  8. Support critical ad hoc projects throughout IRC.
Requirements
  1. Completed a degree in business, finance, engineering, or a related field.
  2. Minimum two years experience in consulting, investment banking, private equity, or similar roles.
  3. Demonstrated strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  4. Robust analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
  5. Strong verbal and written communication skills with proficiency in PowerPoint.
  6. Hands-on experience building financial models in Excel.
  7. Familiarity with financial statements and experience conducting financial analysis.
  8. Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment.
  9. Eagerness to learn and adaptability based on shifting priorities.
  10. Understanding of Inuvialuit history and culture and interest in Northern economic development.
