Job Title: Truck Driver

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team at Transam Carriers Inc.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a tractor-trailer to transport goods and materials across various routes, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Load and unload goods
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Perform brake adjustments
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
  • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
Requirements:
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Driver's License (Class 3 or D)
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Willing to travel for extended periods
  • Willing to travel overnight
