Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Harbor Pilot to join our team in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of vessels in and out of our ports.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct deep-loaded vessels to a safe anchorage and line up same for the departure channel upon the ship's Master's request.
- Investigate ship/pier-related oil pollution incidents and prepare reports.
- Maintain a permanent official log of vessels handled. Advise vessels of ballast condition required, berthing and unberthing time and other information to expedite ship movement and help with optimum scheduling.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as directed by Senior Harbor Pilot Supervision.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Science from a recognized and approved Maritime Studies College and have 5 years of experience, including at least 4 in Harbor Pilot or seagoing experience.
- Or you will hold a High National Diploma from a recognized and approved Maritime Studies College and have 6 years of experience, including at least 4 in Harbor Pilot or seagoing experience.
- Maritime Studies discipline required for HND & Bachelor graduates.
- Tanker Safety Course - Basic training in Oil/Chem/Gas.
- Helicopter and Underwater Escape Training Course is also necessary.
