Job Title: Automotive Painting and Refinishing Technician

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Painting and Refinishing Technician to join our team at Prime Truck Centre Limited. As a key member of our body shop team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our customers' vehicles are restored to their original condition.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and maintain a safe and organized workspace
  • Instruct and train apprentices in the art of automotive painting and refinishing
  • File, grind, and sand body surfaces to be repaired
  • Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting
  • Remove damaged fenders, panels, and grills and bolt or weld replacement parts into place
  • Apply primers and repaint surfaces to a high standard
  • Repair or replace interior components, including windows, windshields, and sunroofs
  • Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents, and seams
  • Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods
