Job Summary:

ML6 is seeking a highly experienced Chief Geologist to lead the Geology Department at our mine site in Northern Ontario. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities and processes of the Geology Department, ensuring safe, cost-effective, and efficient use of manpower and materials.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervise production geologists and oversee the planning, tracking, core logging, and interpretation of definition drilling activities.
2. Lead and assist in the planning and execution of mapping, sampling, and grade control practices.
3. Manage grade control, geology database management, structural mapping, interpretation, and 3D modeling.
4. Provide support in the estimation of mineral resources for our operations.
5. Promote and lead a culture of safe work practices.
6. Ensure compliance with federal and provincial acts, regulations, and legal requirements.
7. Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
8. Prepare annual goals and objectives, operating capital, and manpower budgets.
9. Supervise Senior Geologists to ensure drill hole and grade control programs are optimized and on budget.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Geology or tertiary education in Geology with 15+ years of experience.
2. Registered Professional Geologist of Ontario (P.Geo).
3. Proficient in Datamine, Deswik, and other modeling and geostatistical software.
4. Ability to analyze and perform reconciliation between short and long-term models.
5. Progressive underground experience as a production and/or grade control geologist.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with all levels of the operation.
7. Effective leadership skills with the ability to build a strong team culture.
