Deputy Director of Tertiary and Forensic Psychiatry Services

Job Summary
Meridia Recruitment Solutions is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Deputy Director of Tertiary and Forensic Psychiatry Services to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing all clinical services for the Tertiary and Forensic Psychiatry programs, as well as clinical services in correctional settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and organize care and services for patients
- Manage human resources, staff training, and quality and risk management for over 100 staff members
- Lead a team of 8 managers and provide strategic direction
- Support training and research initiatives
- Establish and implement consistent processes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in nursing
- Master's in administration considered an asset
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a healthcare management position
- 8-10 years' experience in the healthcare field
- Experience supervising/managing staff and strong coaching skills
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the mental health and addiction sectors
- Ability to forge internal and external partnerships
- Good leadership and communication skills
- Strategic-thinking skills and innovative management style
- Strong problem-solving and planning skills
- Ability to function in a changing environment and implement change management strategies
- Extensive experience managing human and financial resources
- Ability to use computer tools and travel within the organization's territory
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to perform the assigned work
- Good previous work history and adherence to professional ethics principles
- Written and spoken competence in English and French is preferred
