The Store Operations Director is responsible for managing the overall performance of the Front Store, encompassing all areas except Pharmacy. This role requires leading staff in delivering exceptional customer service, managing financial resources effectively, and ensuring store objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities:- Operations:
- Maintain Store Standards to optimize customer experience, drive customer traffic, and positively impact store profitability.
- Collaborate with the Management Team to ensure Store Standards are consistently applied across all areas, including the backroom.
- Manage labor scheduling and utilize Work Force Management (WFM) to maximize labor productivity.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels to effectively operate the business.
- Human Resources:
- Adhere to Human Resources Standards.
- Participate in hiring processes for all departments, excluding Pharmacy.
- Maintain wage administration within established guidelines.
- Conduct probationary reviews for new hires and annual staff performance evaluations.
- Implement staff performance management through ongoing coaching, action planning, and follow-up.
- Foster a positive work environment by driving Blue Culture, engagement, and leading by example.
- Finance:
- Analyze financial reports to identify trends and address discrepancies between planned and actual results.
- Meet period, quarterly, and annual targets.
- Set individual goals for departments to motivate employees and ensure they are met.
- Develop strategies to improve business efficiency at the store.
- Strong Planning, Judgement, and Decision-Making Skills.
- Effective Inventory Management and Control of Expenses.
- Excellent Leadership, Mentorship, and Staff Development Abilities.
- Prioritization and Adaptability in Response to Changing Initiatives.
- Strong Organizational and Planning Skills.
- A minimum of 5 years of retail management experience.
- Demonstrated ability to drive business growth, lead by example, and support corporate initiatives.
- Effectiveness in working with the management team.
- Superior Interpersonal, Coaching, and Communication Skills.
- Strong Business and Financial Acumen.
- Ability to build strong relationships with key internal and external agencies.
