Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Grocery Associate to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and assisting with the sale of goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Zones the department to ensure a well-organized and visually appealing store environment.
  • Rotates stock and checks for expired products to maintain high-quality merchandise.
  • Ensures merchandise is properly signed and priced to meet customer needs.
  • Adheres to food safety and handling procedures, as well as sanitation and cleaning procedures, to maintain a safe and healthy store environment.
  • Follows proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels, and other tasks as required.
  • Ensures the department is fully stocked with merchandise and is ready for business.
  • Follows Health and Safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Stocks merchandise/picks, downstocks if applicable, and applies product protection when required.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong commitment to customer service, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to be able to lift up to 25 kg and stand for long periods of time.
