Key Responsibilities
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to ensure a smooth finish.
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners and maintain a high-quality finish.
  • Familiarize yourself with our company's commitment to diversity and inclusion, and participate in training programs to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers, refugees, and Indigenous workers.
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets, positioning and securing them to metal or wooden studs or joists.
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coats to dry, ensuring a professional finish.
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound to achieve a seamless finish.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in drywall installation and finishing.
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Flexibility and reliability are essential for this role.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • English language proficiency.
  • 30-40 hours per week, permanent work term.
