Sander Geophysics Limited is a leading provider of geophysical services, with a strong presence in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. We are currently seeking an experienced Principal Geophysicist to join our team.
Job SummaryThis role involves designing and executing airborne surveys, as well as processing and delivering high-quality data to our clients. The successful candidate will have a strong background in geophysics, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Design and execute airborne survey projects, including logistics and planning;
- Process and analyze geophysical data using industry-standard software;
- Deliver high-quality data products to clients, including technical reports and metadata;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution;
- Maintain accurate records and databases, and provide regular progress updates.
- Bachelor's degree in Earth Sciences, Geophysics or Physics;
- Minimum 5 years of experience in geophysical data acquisition and processing;
- Strong knowledge of geophysical instruments and software, including GPS and altimeter systems;
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities;
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for extended periods.
We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, and paramedical coverage, life insurance, employee assistance program, paid vacation, personal leave, and medical leave.
