Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Department Head to join our team at Maxi. As a key member of our retail store team, you will be responsible for overseeing the sales floor and ensuring a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assign sales workers to duties and oversee their performance
  • Hire and train or arrange for training of staff to ensure they have the necessary skills to excel in their roles
  • Order merchandise and establish work schedules to ensure efficient operations
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure stock levels are adequate
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers to ensure a smooth and efficient work environment
Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound judgments under pressure
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
