Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide supervision and leadership to team members, working closely with the Group Sales Manager to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Delegate tasks and work assignments to team members, providing clear direction and follow-up to ensure proper execution.
  • Foster the growth and development of team members through training and coaching, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Ensure team members adhere to all standard operating procedures and systems processes, providing guidance and correction when needed, and reporting any violations to the manager.
  • Perform administrative tasks related to the department, including data entry, reporting, and other duties as assigned.
  • Provide legendary customer service by identifying and evaluating customers' needs, making product recommendations based on their analysis, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
  • Promote company programs and initiatives to team members and customers, driving sales and revenue growth.
  • Maintain visual presentation standards, including in-store signage, merchandise recovery, front-facing, restocking, remerchandising, dusting, and vacuuming the sales floor as needed.
  • Respond to and resolve customer issues using good judgment and logic, making decisions within the scope of the job.
  • Assist in other areas of the store as needed, supporting the team and driving business results.

Requirements:

  • Two or more years of supervisory experience in a sales or service environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of local fishing is a must.
  • Open availability, including working store opening and closing shifts, as well as weekends.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Ability to evaluate customers' needs and make recommendations based on their analysis.
  • Ability to provide superior customer service and exceed customer expectations.
  • Ability to use good judgment and logic.
  • Experience in a related field or outdoor lifestyle.
  • Knowledge of Bass Pro Shops & Cabela's specific products is an asset.
