Quality Manager Job Description

At IMP Group, we are seeking a highly skilled Quality Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring that our manufacturing processes meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and guidance to Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Document Control teams.
  • Ensure compliance with our Quality Management System and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with production and supporting departments to resolve quality-based issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Chair the Quality Steering Committee and develop and implement the Internal Audit Program.
  • Manage non-conformance reporting, control of non-conforming products, and root cause analysis.
  • Ensure technical reviews of new work packages meet process compliance requirements.
  • Maintain customer special process approvals and manage the Approved Vendor List.
  • Lead Material Review Boards and customer rejections, and ensure AS9100 and NADCAP certifications.
  • Review new contracts and specifications, identifying requirements and ensuring process correlation.
  • Monitor and audit our Training, Qualification, and Authorization System and records.
  • Manage relationships with customers regarding quality audits, notices, and internal non-conformances.
  • Participate in new product introduction, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and validate Personnel Training Plans and Records.
  • Implement change management with teams to ensure products meet customer and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of experience and relevant education in manufacturing Quality Management Systems.
  • 3-5 years management experience in a progressive Manufacturing Engineering environment with a minimum of 3 years direct experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Control, or Quality Assurance.
  • Experience with ISO 9001:2015 or AS9100D is mandatory, and NADCAP Certification or ASQ designation is considered an asset.
  • Lead auditor certification.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent project management and risk assessment skills.
  • Knowledge of Lean/JIT Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma processes is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with demonstrated success in a team-based environment.
  • Eligibility to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and Canadian Government Security Clearances.
