Job Title: After-School InstructorWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced After-School Instructor to lead our programs in Fredericton. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality educational experiences to students, promoting creativity, and fostering a love for learning.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead groups of students through curriculum-guided activities, promoting STEM concepts and creative thinking.
- Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment, ensuring a safe and engaging environment.
- Manage student behavior, establishing and enforcing rules and procedures to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere.
- Encourage and monitor student progress, adjusting teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
- Prepare for each program by reviewing curriculum, watching training videos, and participating in face-to-face training sessions.
- Handle classroom materials and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order.
- Communicate effectively with parents, responding to inquiries and promoting future Snapology programs.
- Participate in periodic training and staff meetings, staying up-to-date on best practices and company policies.
- Current police check and vulnerable sector clearance.
- 2+ years of experience working with children in a classroom or camp environment.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Our After-School Instructor will work on a part-time basis, typically 2-10 hours per week, leading weekday after-school classes from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm. This is an excellent opportunity for those seeking a flexible and rewarding role in education.
