Kitchen Helper Job Description

Tilly\u2019s Family Restaurant is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team. As a Kitchen Helper, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring that our dishes are washed and sanitized, and supporting our kitchen staff in their daily tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Load and unload dishes, glassware, and flatware from dishwashers and storage areas.
  • Operate dishwashers to wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, and flatware.
  • Place dishes in storage areas and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Replenish condiments and supplies at tables and serving areas.
  • Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand.
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, appliances, and work surfaces.
  • Handle and store cleaning products and supplies.
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash.
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors.

As a Kitchen Helper, you will have the opportunity to offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers and provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees.

Please note that this is a permanent position with 40 hours of work per week. The work language is English.
