The Ville de Pointe-Claire seeks a skilled Landscaping Specialist to join its team. As a key member of our green space maintenance crew, you will play a vital role in ensuring the beauty and sustainability of our city's parks and gardens.

Job Description

Our ideal candidate has a strong foundation in horticulture, with several years of experience in plant care, pruning, and propagation. You must be knowledgeable about modern techniques and methods in horticulture, including phytosanitary products and fertilizers. Your expertise in safety measures and applicable regulations is also essential.

Responsibilities:
  • Cultivate and maintain various groups of plants, including annuals, perennials, and woody plants.
  • Multiply plants using sowing, cutting, layering, dividing, grafting, and similar techniques.
  • Prepare substrates, soils, and potting soils for planting.
  • Care for plants through staking, pruning, recutting, hoeing, and watering.
Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must hold a college certificate relevant to the position from an institution recognized by the Ministry of Education, or a diploma in horticulture issued by the Montreal Botanical Garden. Your knowledge of horticultural equipment and tools, as well as spoken French and English, and written French, is also required.
