About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our team at East Side Grocery Ltd. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Cash Register: Accurately process transactions, handle cash, credit, and debit card payments, and maintain a clean and organized cash handling area.
  • Process Transactions: Scan items, calculate total payment, and reconcile daily/shift payments with total sales.
  • Provide Customer Service: Greet customers, respond to inquiries, and resolve any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Stock Shelves and Clean Counter Area: Maintain a clean and organized store environment by restocking shelves, sweeping, and mopping the floor.
  • Perform Other Duties: Assist with opening and closing procedures, including counting tills, balancing the cash register, and performing other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Physical Demands: Standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, flexible, and a team player.
Work Environment

As a Retail Sales Associate at East Side Grocery Ltd, you will work in a fast-paced retail environment with a dynamic team. You will be required to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
