Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Analyst to join our team at Sobeys Inc. in Canada.

About the Role

This 12-month contract opportunity is based out of one of our main offices in Stellarton, NS; Mississauga, ON; or Calgary, AB. As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for partnering with Operations and Finance to create business cases to justify new initiatives, programs, services, and technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work as a liaison among stakeholders to understand the objectives, policies, and operations of various functions within the organization.
  • Develop business requirements for IT solutions, including business reports, systems, applications, and vendor programs.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support project evaluation, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost-benefit analysis.
  • Hold requirements gathering sessions to identify key assumptions and opportunities for enhancements.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have an Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science or Business, or 5 years related experience in retail analysis. You should also possess experience in gathering business requirements, business process reengineering, process mapping, and application testing.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is between $65,000 to $90,000 per year, depending on location and experience. We offer a competitive compensation package, which includes a hybrid work model requiring your presence at one of our office locations at least three days per week.
