Job Description

Partner Staffing is a leading recruitment agency specializing in the Oil & Gas sector, Engineering/Procurement/Construction, and Utilities industries. We are seeking an experienced Building Science Engineer Level III to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage building science projects, including building envelope assessments, energy audits, retrofits, and new construction consulting.
  • Prepare project proposals, budgets, schedules, and resource plans.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met on time and within budget.
  • Perform detailed analysis of building envelope systems, including thermal, moisture, and structural performance.
  • Conduct site inspections, diagnostic testing, and forensic investigations to identify building performance issues.
  • Develop and review design solutions, specifications, and technical reports related to building science.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, standards, and sustainability guidelines.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff, reviewing their work.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong professional relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Building Science, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in British Columbia or eligibility to obtain.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in building science with a strong focus on building envelope design and analysis.
  • Proven experience managing complex projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.
  • Proficiency in building science software tools and programs, including Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Deltek Vision, and CAD software.
  • Understanding of building codes, model national energy code, ASTM standards, CGSB standards, and CSA standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
