Detailed Job Description:

Job Title: Sheet Metal Fabricator

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our team at Nicola Plumbing & Heating Ltd. As a key member of our fabrication and installation team, you will be responsible for fabricating and installing sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Measure and mark sheet metal according to template
  • Operate metalworking machines to cut, punch, drill, shape or straighten sheet metal
  • Grind and buff seams, joints and rough surfaces
  • Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specification
  • Instruct apprentices
  • Supervise other workers
  • Cut materials using power tools or by hand
  • Fitting and joining sheet metal parts
  • Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications

Required Certifications and Licenses:
  • Sheet Metal Worker Trade Certification
  • Sheet Metal Worker Red Seal Certificate
