About the Role

We are seeking a skilled framer and carpenter to join our team at AS2 Framing Ltd.

This is a permanent position with 40 hours of work per week, requiring a strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of productivity.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing layouts according to building codes, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining various materials. They will also build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems. Additionally, they will fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, as well as schedule and coordinate work on sites and supervise other workers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes using measuring tools.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Fitness and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
  • Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites.
  • Supervise other workers.
  • Estimate costs and materials.
Work Environment

The ideal candidate will have experience working at heights, in noisy environments, and with dusty conditions. They must also be comfortable handling heavy loads and working in a large workload environment with overtime required.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years.
  • Able to work at heights, in noisy environments, and with dusty conditions.
  • Comfortable handling heavy loads.
  • Strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of productivity.
Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
