Senior Data Governance Lead (Finance)

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Governance Lead to join our Finance Data Governance Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing data governance strategies to ensure high-quality data across Finance and procurement functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and refine data governance frameworks and policies tailored to finance and procurement functions.
  • Lead the data governance team, providing strategic guidance and expertise.
  • Mentor team members to enhance their understanding of data governance practices and tools.
  • Oversee the profiling and analysis of data quality issues within specified data domains and business functions.
  • Prioritize and assign remediation tasks based on business impact and data quality assessments.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in finance and procurement functions.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in data governance or a related field, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of data quality tools, data management processes, and best practices.
  • Proven experience in leading data governance initiatives and mentoring teams in complex organizational settings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Deep experience in finance and procurement data management.
  • Familiarity with relevant legislation and standards affecting data privacy and governance.
  • Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) designation or other certifications in data governance or quality management.
