Orthopaedic Care Specialist

As an Orthopaedic Care Specialist with Interior Health Authority, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic and collaborative environment. Your expertise in orthopaedic care will enable you to assess and evaluate patient conditions, review x-rays to confirm treatment plans, and apply casts and splints as needed. Under the direction of a physician or nurse practitioner, you will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care to patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform assessments and develop personalized care plans for patients
Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver orthopaedic care
Apply casts and splints, and remove externally exposed pins, wires, staples, and sutures as required
Set up traction equipment and perform related orthopaedic duties
