**Job Summary**

This role involves overseeing complex construction projects to ensure compliance with engineering designs, specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.

**Responsibilities**

  1. Leading on-site inspections and coordinating with contractors, project managers, and engineers.
  2. Reviewing and approving construction plans, monitoring project progress, identifying and resolving technical issues, and preparing detailed reports.
  3. Ensuring compliance with contract documents, drawings, and specifications.
  4. Liaising/coordination with service providers for specialized inspections and/or testing.
  5. Attending site meetings as required.

**Qualifications**

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology/Technician.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Construction Inspector on similar MTO or municipal projects.
  • Certified technician or technologist with OACETT (C Tech/CET), Road Construction Senior Inspector (RCSI) designation; or EIT/P.Eng with PEO.
  • Able to work on weekends and nights.
  • Valid Ontario driver's license (G License).
