About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at ABS Trucking Ltd. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Administration: Maintain, troubleshoot, and administer the use of LANs, WANs, mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment.
  • Hardware and Software Evaluation: Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software to ensure optimal network performance.
  • Security Measures: Implement data, software, and hardware security procedures to protect our network and sensitive information.
  • Backup and Recovery: Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations to ensure business continuity.
Work Environment and Requirements
  • Work Conditions: The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Physical Capabilities: The role requires the ability to work in a standard office environment with minimal physical demands.
