We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer II to join our Amazon Middle East and North Africa team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining innovative software solutions to transform service performance, durability, cost, and security.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and Implement Software Solutions: Develop and deploy high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our customers and sellers.
  2. Apply Software Engineering Best Practices: Ensure that all team deliverables meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and scalability.
  3. Write High-Quality Distributed System Software: Design and implement software systems that are efficient, reliable, and scalable.
  4. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with our WW-technology teams to develop innovative solutions that meet the needs of our customers in the MENA region.
About the Team

Our team's vision is to make Amazon a go-to place for our customers in MENA for their daily purchase needs. We work on highly agile environments while insisting on the highest standards. Our projects help with new customer acquisition, retention, and drive engagement through innovative marketing approaches.

Requirements
  • Professional Software Development Experience: 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • Design and Architecture Experience: 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • Programming Experience: Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Full Software Development Life Cycle Experience: 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science: Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
