About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Gas Fitter-Installer to join our team at Manpower Services Canada Limit. As a Gas Fitter-Installer, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining gas lines and equipment, as well as advising clients on safety features and maintenance of gas units and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Maintenance: Install and maintain meters and regulators, gas lines between gas unit and gas meter, and propane and natural gas filling stations.
  • Client Advice: Advise clients on standards, safety features, and maintenance of gas units and systems.
  • Testing and Repair: Test and adjust control mechanisms, check pipes and piping connections for gas leaks using gas detecting devices, and repair and service gas appliances and related equipment.
  • Estimation and Planning: Estimate costs and materials, and prepare tenders and quotations.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Gas Fitter Certificate - Level 2 or B.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment, physically demanding, and requires standing for extended periods.
  • Personal Qualities: Accurate, client-focused, excellent oral and written communication, judgement, and a positive attitude.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
Working Conditions
  • Work Setting: Various locations, commercial, and residential.
  • Work Hours: 37.5 to 44 hours per week.
Language

The primary language of work is English.
