**Job Summary**
The University of New Brunswick's Department of Civil Engineering invites applications for a tenure-track position in Hydrotechnical Engineering for Climate Adaptation and Resilience at the rank of Assistant Professor. This position is part of the Faculty of Engineering and is subject to final budgetary approval.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Conduct research and teaching in the areas of climate change adaptation, hydrotechnical engineering, and water-related infrastructure design and adaptation.
- Develop and maintain an innovative, externally funded research program focused on climate change adaptation and resilience.
- Collaborate with other researchers in the Department and at the University to advance knowledge and expertise in hydrotechnical engineering and climate adaptation.
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in civil engineering and hydrotechnical engineering.
- Supervise graduate students and contribute to the training of highly qualified personnel.
**Requirements**
- PhD in Civil Engineering or a related field with evidence of, or demonstrated potential for, excellence in research and teaching.
- Experience in engineering practice is desirable.
- Ability to collaborate with and complement other researchers in the Department or at the University.
- Eligibility and willingness to register as a Professional Engineer in the Province of New Brunswick.
