About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Auto Body Repair Technician to join our team at Rowe Motors, CARSTAR KINCARDINE, and CARSTAR PORT ELGIN 4. Industrial Sector. As an Auto Body Repair Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles to their original condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and Replace Body Components
    • Replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components
    • File, grind and sand body surfaces to be repaired
    • Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting
  • Paint and Finish
    • Apply primers and repaint surfaces
    • Mix paint, blend and match colors
  • Interior and Exterior Repair
    • Repair or replace interior components
    • Repair or replace damaged windows, windshields and sunroofs
  • Frame and Body Straightening
    • Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • No degree, certificate or diploma required
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the automotive body repair industry
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Professionalism in customer service
    • Clean and maintain work space
    • Instruct apprentices
    • Excellent oral communication
    • Attention to detail
    • Team player
Work Environment

This is a fast-paced environment with physically demanding tasks. You will be required to stand for extended periods and perform tasks that involve bending, crouching, and kneeling.
