Business Intelligence Developer Opportunity

TalentBurst, Inc. is seeking a skilled Business Intelligence Developer to join our development team. As an integral member of our team, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, and support of mission-critical enterprise Business Intelligence solutions.

Working with cross-functional teams, you will participate in the evaluation of business requirements for data warehouse and reporting solutions. Using your skills and experience, you will design, develop, and test DWH models, ETL processes, reports, and dashboards that utilize the underlying data warehouse(s).

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse development, proficiency with BI tools, and experience with ETL tools. Additionally, they will have expert knowledge of SQL, familiarity with Oracle and MySQL in a UNIX environment, and experience with UNIX environment and basic UNIX shell scripting.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Participate in business analysis activities to gather and evaluate client requirements and translate these requirements to specific data designs and models, reports, and dashboards.
  2. Design and develop client reports, dashboards, and data feeds using BI tools and UNIX shell scripts.
  3. Utilize ETL tools to build data warehousing solutions.
  4. Develop, optimize, maintain, and support ETL processes.
  5. Troubleshoot and performance tune as necessary BI tools, data warehouses, reports, feeds, systems, and software.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  2. 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse development.
  3. Proficiency with one or more BI tools.
  4. Proficiency with one or more ETL tools.
  5. Must have expert knowledge of SQL.
  6. Must be familiar with Oracle and MySQL in a UNIX environment.
  7. Experience with UNIX environment and basic UNIX shell scripting.
  8. Performance tuning experience is required.
  9. Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  10. Ability to learn quickly new tools and technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Programming/scripting experience and knowledge of the software development life cycle.
  2. Experience with Yellowfin BI tool.
  3. Experience with Talend Data Integration ETL tool.
  4. Experience with billing systems, subscriber management, and payment processing is preferred.
