At Myant, we are revolutionizing the way we interact with technology by integrating it into clothing and augmented by other devices, wearables, and IoT. The Vision
Our vision for SKIIN—our first consumer-facing brand—is to enhance human ability through connected clothing and textiles. Skiin is in beta-phase market launch and has been recently granted Health Canada medical device license and submitted to the FDA for regulatory approval in the US market. The sensors and actuators embedded within our apparel create your Digital Identity, which will be consumed by those who matter to you—your family members, physicians, trainers, and other IoT devices—without you consciously having to think about it. The line between the digital and physical world is becoming increasingly blurry, and we believe textile is the next medium to bridge that gap. We are a multi-disciplinary technology team solving big challenges at the intersection of electronics, deep tech, software, design, advanced manufacturing, and data science.

Purpose
We are seeking an experienced Chemical Engineer who is adept at solving process engineering challenges. Your challenge is to work with our internal teams and external clients to help them drive their materials projects towards commercialization. You will be responsible for developing project proposals that describe technical approaches to de-risk and accelerate their materials scale-up for manufacturing. You will lead multidisciplinary projects and ensure proper execution and documentation of activities throughout the project cycle. You will maintain close contact with assigned customers to ensure a high degree of customer satisfaction. You will translate new/existing scientific knowledge into enabling technologies/platforms; perform analytical, experimental, and modeling work to solve business problems in a timely manner. You will keep abreast of trends and developments in area of expertise and be a subject matter expert in external trends/developments.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience
We are looking for a Chemical Engineer with 5+ years of industrial experience in a flexible and versatile setting with proven leadership in project management. You should have outstanding verbal and written communication skills. You should be able to design, demonstrate, and optimize chemical processes starting from the concept stage. You should have knowledge of process costing and economic analysis. You should be proficient in chemical reaction engineering. You should have strategic thinking capability. You should have excellent project management and leadership skills, and ability to work in cross-functional teams. You should be able to understand complex technical information and communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. You should be analytical and systematic when approaching engineering challenges. You should have knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies. You should demonstrate the ability to regularly represent scientific findings and results to the scientific community.
