We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a Registered Nurse - Specialty Education, you will play a key role in delivering compassionate patient care and contributing to the education and development of our nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care in a Labour and Delivery setting, utilizing your expertise and critical thinking skills to prioritize and organize patient care.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to develop and implement educational programs and training initiatives, ensuring that our staff have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide exceptional care.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures, ensuring that they are aligned with the organization's vision and values.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and staff development.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to new staff members, ensuring that they have a smooth transition into their roles.
- Current registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
- Current Level C CPR certification.
- One year of recent related experience in a Labour and Delivery setting, with a significant labour and delivery component.
- Advanced Obstetrical Certificate preferred.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Certificate preferred.
