Job Title: Equipment Operator

At Rising Edge Group, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Equipment Operator to join our team. As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery, including dozers, excavators, lift trucks, and screeners, to ensure efficient and safe site operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate heavy machinery, including dozers, excavators, lift trucks, and screeners, to move materials and equipment around the site.
  • Conduct pre-operational inspections to ensure equipment is in good working condition and notify management of any issues.
  • Understand and comply with safety regulations and Rising Edge Group's safety policies and procedures, including pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
  • Work safely around underground utilities and overhead power lines, as well as in high traffic or congested work areas.
  • Follow instructions from the Site Supervisor and ensure that necessary paperwork is available at all times.
  • Operate heavy equipment with shear/bucket/pulverizing attachments when required.
Requirements:
  • Class 5 license with a clean Drivers Abstract.
  • High School diploma required.
  • At least 1 year of experience working as an Equipment Operator is required.
  • Mechanically inclined and knowledge of maintaining equipment such as greasing and fueling is an asset.
  • Ability to weld small ticket items.
  • Safety tickets including: CSTS, First Aid, WHMIS an asset.
