About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installer to join our team at G&G Interior Renovation Inc. As a key member of our renovation team, you will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, applying successive coats of compound, and ensuring a smooth finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure, cut, and install drywall sheets to meet project specifications
  • Apply coats of compound to seams and joints, and sand to a smooth finish
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. You will be required to lift heavy loads, bend, crouch, and kneel frequently. A high level of physical fitness and stamina is necessary to perform the duties of this role.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in drywall installation
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
  • Reliability, flexibility, and a strong work ethic
