Job Summary:

Jardeg-Construction is seeking a skilled Scaffolder Journeyman to join our team at the NOVA Chemicals site in Alberta. As a Scaffolder Journeyman, you will be responsible for providing safe and secure scaffold access without compromising on safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate effectively with staff and supervision to ensure expectations are met
  • Implement safe work practices in the industrial environment with knowledge of Task Hazard Assessments
  • Assemble, dismantle, and modify System (Layer/Ring Lock) and Tube & Clamp scaffolds
  • Utilize isometric drawings to inform scaffold design and construction
  • Prioritize daily work load and manage materials efficiently

Requirements:

  • Scaffold Certificate affiliation is preferred (or proof of hours)
  • Good mathematical, scientific, mechanical, and logical reasoning abilities
  • Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS 2020) certification
  • Energy Safety Canada Fall Protection and Confined Space certifications
  • Ability to provide own tools
