  • Kitchen Maintenance: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization, and maintain a clean kitchen and work areas.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise and guide junior cooks and kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective food preparation and service.
  • Cuisine Expertise: Prepare and cook a variety of international dishes, with a focus on Italian cuisine.
  • Experience and Support: Provide support and guidance to newcomers and refugees, and facilitate access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced restaurant environment, with a focus on providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Work Setting: The ideal candidate will have experience working in a restaurant environment, preferably in an urban area.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Hours: The successful candidate will work 40 hours per week.
