About the JobWe are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team at Temagami Gas Station and Restaurant. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing cheques for payroll, calculating fixed assets and depreciation, and reconciling accounts.
This is a permanent position with 32-35 hours of work per week. The ideal candidate will have 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field and a strong understanding of manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
Key Responsibilities- Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
- Calculate fixed assets and depreciation
- Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
- Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
- Post journal entries
- Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports
- Prepare tax returns
- Prepare trial balance of books
- Reconcile accounts
We offer a competitive salary of $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
