We're hiring Full-Time Temporary Bilingual Electric Meter Installers to work on electric meter upgrades in various locations for Olameter Corporation.
OverviewOlameter is one of the largest meter servicing companies in North America with over 1,500 employees providing services in multiple states and provinces to numerous utilities.
Compensation and BenefitsThis position offers a competitive hourly rate, which can exceed $21 per hour, depending on performance. Employees are also provided with safety gear, including company boots, vests, glasses, and more. A clean criminal and driving history, as well as fluency in both English and French, are required.
Job DescriptionThis role involves installing single-phase electric meters by replacing existing meters and automating the process of reading meters for accurate consumption and billing. The new meter and meter module are installed to streamline the meter-reading process.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this position, applicants must have a valid driver's license, pass pre-employment screenings, and possess good communication skills. They should also be able to walk up to 5-10 km per day and work independently with minimal supervision.
Working Conditions and HoursThe job involves working outdoors in a day shift environment, Monday through Friday, with little to no supervision. Employees will enjoy a high level of independence and flexibility in their work schedule.
Knowledge and AbilitiesCandidates should be able to successfully complete the company's training program, learn and apply safety measures related to motor vehicle operation, and demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills.
