Our Data Platform team plays a crucial role in providing scalable storage systems and a reliable platform for moving and processing data that feeds our powerful ML models.
We're seeking a Staff Software Engineer to spearhead key initiatives owned by the Data Platform team. As a member of this team, you'll have the opportunity to mentor a small team of high-caliber engineers, define and build the roadmap for the next-generation data platform, and execute on ambitious technical projects to deliver value.
The Ideal CandidateWe're looking for someone who can tackle complex business problems, explore solutions, and build consensus. You should have a track record of building data-intensive applications that contribute to the company's business goals. Effective communication and trust-building skills are essential for success in this role.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Staff Software Engineer, you'll shape the Data Platform architecture and roadmap to empower and scale AI/ML applications across the company. You'll deep dive into product workflows, recommend trade-offs, and act as the technical lead of the team. Your quarterly roadmap will be owned, set, executed, and delivered by you.
Must-Haves- ~5+ years of experience in building platforms, tools, and systems to serve engineering teams.
- ~ Experience in building data-intensive, distributed systems as a back-end engineer.
- ~ Proven track record of being a Change Agent, defining and driving engineering initiatives.
Our tech stack includes Python, Golang, Terraform/Terragrunt, Postgresql, Kafka, Redis, OpenSearch, AWS/Azure, and Kubernetes.
Nice to Have- Experience in operating complex AI/ML applications at scale.
- Knowledge and/or experience building out platform offerings to support other engineering teams.
