Senior Major Incident Manager

Cognizant is seeking a seasoned Senior Major Incident Manager to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our incident management process, you will be responsible for coordinating people involved in the incident management process and ensuring process alignment.
Key Responsibilities:- Respond to reported service incidents, identify root causes, and initiate the incident management procedure.
- Prioritize incidents according to their urgency and impact on the business.
- Train and mentor others in the incident management process.
- Drive and coordinate incident response activities and decide on the best course of action.
- Solid grasp of ITIL process and ITIL certified-at least ITIL foundation.
- 6-9 years of experience in handling major incident management process, running major incidents situations. Exposure to all basic ITIL processes.
- Demonstrable understanding of CAPA-Corrective actions and preventive actions.
- Must have 2+ years of experience in problem management.
- Directive to have 5-7 years of experience in an Incident Management role.
- Ability to work rotating shifts to support 24/7/365 organization.
- Supervisory or team lead experience; Experience in a technical support field: network, server, storage.
- Good to have Risk management, Configuration management and some exposure to infrastructure basics.
