Purple Potamus Preschool & Junior Kindergarten Inc is seeking a qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to develop and implement child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and be able to lead activities, guide children in daily routines, and establish collaborative relationships with colleagues and community service providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that promote the overall development of children
  • Lead activities that foster social, emotional, and cognitive growth
  • Guide children in daily routines, including eating, dressing, and toilet habits
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents or guardians
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues and community service providers
  • Plan and maintain a safe and healthy environment for children
Requirements
  • College/CEGEP diploma in Early Childhood Education or related field
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field
  • Child Development Worker (ECE level 2) certification
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking
  • 35 hours per week
  • English language required
