Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled General Medicine Specialist to join our team at Island Health. As a key member of our Division of Internal Medicine, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of our medical services.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position that requires a strong foundation in general internal medicine, with opportunities to develop subspecialty interests and qualifications. You will work closely with our team of medical specialists, including respirologists, nephrologists, infectious disease specialists, neurologists, intensivists, and geriatricians. Our group members have a strong referral link with interventional cardiology, and we offer a supportive and collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care to adults with a wide range of medical conditions
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals
  • Participate in medical education and research activities
  • Contribute to the development of our medical services and quality improvement initiatives

Requirements:

  • Eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia
  • Strong foundation in general internal medicine
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
