Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Investment Planning Specialist to join our team at Kawartha Credit Union. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Huntsville, ON.

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, dependent on experience.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing knowledgeable and friendly advice regarding investment options to our members. This includes recommending solutions to help our members achieve their personal financial objectives, specializing in the function of investment planning.

You will establish and maintain effective relationships with members, contribute towards the growth of the investment portfolio by attaining individual goals and objectives, and monitor the renewal of maturing investments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recommend investment solutions to members based on their financial objectives and risk tolerance.
  • Provide expert advice on investment options, including mutual funds, stocks, and other investment vehicles.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with members through excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of the investment portfolio, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
  • Assist members with the renewal of maturing investments, providing alternative options and guidance as needed.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A post-secondary education with emphasis in financial planning or management.
  • A minimum of three years of financial services industry experience, preferably in investment planning or a related field.
  • A Mutual Funds License and active standing.
  • Advanced member service and sales skills, with the ability to communicate complex investment concepts to clients in a clear and concise manner.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
