Job Description:


This Senior Project Manager role provides direct support and project management in the design, development, and implementation of projects for the Westinghouse Parts Business. These projects will include supporting mechanical projects in the Candu Nuclear Market.



Responsibilities:


As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing high complex, multiple projects, leading multi-disciplinary teams, and continuously monitoring progress with milestones and autonomy. This includes recommending project goals, analyzing the status of projects, and ensuring the timely creation and maintenance of master project schedules and reports for multiple projects.



Duties and Responsibilities:


Your primary responsibilities will include:



  • Ownership of project lifecycles from proposal through to implementation, including initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and controlling, and close-out.
  • Determining methods and resources needed to achieve project goals and developing a detailed work plan, which includes definition scope, staffing, and financial resource allocation.
  • Maintaining balance and managing competing project constraints, including scope, quality, schedule, budget, resources, and risks.
  • Aligning stakeholder expectations to achieve overall acceptance of program objectives.
  • Serving as a single representative to customers, consultants, constructors, and Westinghouse business areas in support of projects.
  • Closing projects by archiving work in financial, scheduling, document management, and resource management systems/tools.


Required Skills and Qualifications:


To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • A college diploma or university bachelor's degree in a related discipline, such as project management, engineering, business, construction management, or a related technical discipline.
  • A minimum of 3-6 years of experience as a project manager, with 3 years in a technical/engineering role also being considered.
  • Experience working with electrical, mechanical, or I&C components for nuclear power plants.
  • PMP certification is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to provide strategic vision and demonstrate success in helping drive the business.
  • Experience with MS Project or Primavera is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Project Management (PMBOK) and proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
  • A second or more foreign language(s) is viewed as a plus.
