Job Title: Associate MMCC

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate MMCC to join our dynamic team at Rogers Sports & Media. As a key member of our newsroom, you will be responsible for creating engaging and informative content for our digital platforms and broadcast news programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and produce high-quality news content for digital and broadcast platforms.
  • Coordinate and deploy newsroom and field resources to gather elements and create news content.
  • Pitch story ideas and participate in daily creative brainstorms and story meetings.
  • Research and chase story leads, including breaking news and enterprise news.
  • Write, edit, and publish digital content in our content management system (WordPress) and/or manage television content in our television content management system (Inception).
  • Develop and edit video content optimized for a digital audience.
  • Ensure that content is factually and grammatically correct.
Requirements:
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to produce high-quality news content.
  • Excellent research and interviewing skills, with the ability to gather and verify information.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced news environment, with multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to coordinate and deploy resources effectively.
  • Proficiency in content management systems, including WordPress and Inception.
  • Basic still and video photography skills, with the ability to add photos and videos to digital and broadcast content.
