About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a key contributor, you will identify dental hygiene treatment plans according to individual patients' needs, prioritizing patient oral health.
Job Description:
The ideal candidate will ensure the highest standards of patient care, resulting in the best outcomes for patients. Key responsibilities include:
- Implementing best practices for infection control, including instrument processing and treatment room sanitation
- Conducting medical health history screenings and updates
- Performing baseline and routine assessments, including full mouth charting, probing, and oral cancer screening
- Radiographs and impressions (as prescribed by the Dentist), intraoral photos
- Identifying conditions and oral diseases such as gingivitis, caries, or periodontitis
- Dental hygiene treatment planning, including patient-specific preventive dental care (scaling, prophy, fluoride, etc.)
- Educating patients on oral hygiene instruction, plaque control instructions, and postoperative instructions
- Maintaining accurate documentation and charting
- Identifying gaps in clinical schedules and assisting with scheduling, such as booking preventive recall appointments and following up on outstanding treatment plans
- Collaborating with colleagues during downtime in schedule (Dental Hygienists, Dental Assistants, Dentists, and Administration)
- Attending continuing education events from time to time
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A diploma or degree in Dental Hygiene
- Registration as a Dental Hygienist in good standing with the CDHO
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- A friendly personality who works collaboratively with a team
Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary, estimated at $80,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits including:
