Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cardiology Technologist to join our team at Langley Memorial Hospital in Langley, BC.

About the Role

This Casual opportunity is perfect for someone who enjoys working with patients and wants to make a difference in their lives. As a Cardiology Technologist, you will perform various tests and procedures related to Electrocardiogram (ECG) testing, stress testing, holter monitoring, and Ambulatory Blood Pressure (ABP) monitoring.

You will work closely with medical staff to interpret test results and provide accurate data for use in diagnosis and treatment. Your excellent communication skills will be essential in explaining procedures and answering patient questions before testing.

The successful candidate will have completion of a recognized Cardiology Technology Program at the Diploma level, plus two (2) years recent related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists (CSCT) certification is also required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Electrocardiogram (ECG) testing, stress testing, holter and/or event monitor testing, and Ambulatory Blood Pressure (ABP) testing.
  • Explain procedures and answer patient questions in preparation for testing.
  • Scan and analyze ECG, stress, and holter monitor test strips; select and assess portions of test strips and summarize for interpretation by medical staff.
  • Enter patient test information as per department protocols, into Meditech to provide Electronic Health Records database for client/patient files.
Compensation

The salary range for this position is CAD $35.27 - $44.05 per hour, making it an attractive option for professionals looking to advance their careers.
