Senior Security Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technician to join our team at Paladin Technologies. As a Senior Technician, you will be responsible for installing, programming, and configuring security systems, including CCTV cameras, access control systems, and intrusion alarms. You will also conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure the continued functionality and reliability of security systems.
Responsibilities:
- Install and program security systems, including CCTV cameras, access control systems, and intrusion alarms.
- Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure the continued functionality and reliability of security systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cabling systems with other network infrastructure components.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Install, terminate, and test copper and fiber optic cables, connectors, and related components.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs and provide expert guidance and solutions tailored to their requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of system installations, maintenance activities, and repairs.
- Train clients and end-users on the operation of security systems to maximize their effectiveness and ease of use.
- Stay up to date with advancements in security technology, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and compliance standards related to security systems installation and maintenance.
- Perform administrative duties, including project updates and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Progressive experience in a technical role within the integrated security or low-voltage industry.
- Previous experience leading installations at the site level is preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in the use of relevant tools and equipment.
- Programming experience preferred for senior positions.
- Vendor Certification in low voltage systems is preferred.
- Valid TQ certification preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to learn and work on different systems, such as AV and data structuring, will be an asset.
- Valid Driver's License and clean abstract.
- Postsecondary training in electronics or equivalent is considered an asset.
